Ryan Darcey, a 2010 Fordham graduate, begins his first season on Tom Masella's staff in 2011 where he will be in charge of the tight ends.
Darcey was a four-year letterman and four-year starter for the Rams from 2006-09. He capped his career by being named the 2010 co-recipient of the Bill Tierney Spirit Award, presented annually to the Fordham varsity player who in the estimate of his teammates, represents the spirit that Bill so unselfishly exemplified.
As a senior in 2009, Darcey started all eleven games for the Rams, recording 45 total tackles, 21 solo, including 6.5 for loss. He also broke up two passes and forced three fumbles.
Over his career, Darcey notched 140 total tackles, including 18.5 for loss and two sacks.
Darcey received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Fordham in 2010 with a concentration in Finance.
Prior to Fordham, Darcey was a member of the football squad at Warwick Valley High School in Warwick, New York where earned All-League honors and was named team MVP.
