Leah Eberts, former graduate assistant with the Kent State University football program, was named director of football operations at Fordham University in February of 2023.

At Fordham, Eberts is responsible for day-to-day management of the football program, team travel, budget management, summer camps, coordinating the football alumni, supervising office staff, interns and volunteers and managing pre-season training camp.

Eberts arrived at Fordham after serving as a graduate assistant, operations, for the Golden Flashes. She was responsible for collaborating in coordinating team travel itineraries, rooming lists, team busing and flights and assisting in administrative planning and operations for athletics programs and events, including all-department meetings, head coaches retreat and external operations retreat. She also oversaw coordination of daily, travel and game day meals and organized recruiting visit itineraries, hotel setup, campus tours, meals and photoshoots.

As an undergraduate at Kent State, Eberts served as a student manager where she led a creative team that produced football content for social media, recruiting and in-house projects.

The Pittsburgh, PA native interned with the Penguins in the summer of 2020 where she was a graphic design intern. She helped develop a first place-winning marketing plan, presented to Penguins executives to raise money for a COVID-19 relief fund and designed original graphics for NHL Return to Play, season wrap-up stats, mobile wallpapers, and Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Eberts is a 2021 Kent State graduate with a B.A. in Visual Communication Design and minors in Event Planning and User Experience Design. She also received an M.A. degree in Sports Administration from the school in 2023.
