Evan Durand head shot 20

Evan Durand

Evan Durand begins his third year as a member of the Fordham football staff in 2020 where he will serve as the recruiting coordinator and coach the tight ends.

The last two years have been solid ones for the Fordham recruiting efforts as the Rams recruiting class ranked 29th in the NCAA FCS in 2019 and 36th in 2020 by HERO Sports.

Durand returned to the Fordham staff as recruiting coordinator/tight ends coach for the Rams in April 2019 after spending the spring of 2019 as a defensive assistant at the University of Connecticut.

In 2018, Durand worked as a defensive assistant at Fordham. Along with assisting with the defensive line, he served the Fordham staff by completing full opponent scout breakdowns, comprehensive weekly scouting reports and game plan installation packets. He was also directly responsible for the offensive scout team and involved with a number of recruiting efforts during his first stint with the Rams.

Before coming to Rose Hill, Durand was at Coastal Carolina University for the 2017 season. As a lead member of the recruiting department, he engaged in all day-to-day recruiting operations for Coastal, including planning and executing official & unofficial visits, maintaining the program’s social media presence and managing the evaluation process used by the coaching staff. Durand also worked under the defensive line coach in a supporting role during his time with the Chanticleers.

Prior to re-entering the coaching profession, Durand spent over two years in the business world, serving as the assistant director of an advertising agency in his home state of New Jersey.

A 2015 graduate of Bentley University where he graduated cum laude with a degree in marketing, Durand served as a student assistant coach for the Falcons football squad as an undergraduate from 2011-2014.
