Andrew Jackson joined the Fordham staff in February of 2017 and was responsible for leading the defensive line that fall.

In 2017, the Fordham defense ranked third in the Patriot League in turnover margin (0.18) and had three players earn All-Patriot League honors, including freshman linebacker Glenn Cunningham, who received Freshman All-America accolades.

Jackson served as a graduate assistant at Penn State University over the past two years, where he was a member of the staff that led the Nittany Lions to the 2016 Big Ten title and an appearance in the Rose Bowl. He was responsible for weekly film breakdowns and scouting reports and was in charge of preparing the scout team before practice and running cards during practice.  Jackson also worked with the defensive tackles during individuals.
 
Prior to his two years in State College, Jackson served as a graduate assistant/assistant defensive line coach at Stony Brook University from 2013-2014.
 
Jackson started his coaching career at his alma mater, LIU Post, where he served as a graduate assistant /assistant to the defensive line coach in 2013.
 
A 2011 graduate of LIU Post with a degree in physical education science and coaching, Jackson was a three-year starter and three-year captain for the Pioneers and earned second team All-PSAC honors as a senior after recording 36 total tackles, 20 solo, including 12 for loss and five sacks. He also had five quarterback hurries.
