Austin Longi, WR

Andre Barboza, former assistant coach at Sacred Heart University, just completed his first season at Fordham in 2017 where he is responsible for the Rams’ wide receivers.
 
In 2017, Austin Longi earned First Team All-Patriot accolades under Barboza's tutelage after catching 38 passes for 478 yards and three touchdowns, The Fordham receiving corps helped the Rams rank third in the Patriot League in passing offense.
 
Barboza coached the Sacred Heart wide receivers in 2016, helping the Pioneers to a 6-5 record, its fourth consecutive winning season.
 
Prior to Sacred Heart, Barboza served as an assistant coach at Nauset Regional High School in Eastham, Massachusetts, in 2015 where he was a member of the staff of former NFL head coach Mike Sherman.
 
In 2013 and 2014, Barboza coached at Stonehill College, helping the Skyhawks post their best season in nearly 20 years, as they finished the 2013 season with their first winning season since 1996 and earned a share of the Northeast-10 Conference regular season championship. The Skyhawks played in their first NE-10 Championship game and ranked eighth in the NE-10 in total offense (353.5 yds/gm) and sixth for scoring (29.2 ppg).
 
Barboza joined the Stonehill coaching staff after spending the 2012 season as tight ends coach at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. The Rock posted a 6-5 record in his lone season under longtime head coach Dr. George Mihalik, including a 5-2 clip in the PSAC. Barboza also earned coaching experience as a pass game coordinator and wide receivers coach at Barnstable (Mass.) High School in 2009 and assistant wide receivers and defensive backs coach in 2006.
 
Barboza began his coaching career as a student assistant at his alma mater, Youngstown State University, in the spring 2012 semester.
 
A 2012 graduate of Youngstown State University with a degree in general studies, Barboza was a two-year member of the Penguins NCAA Division I FCS program. He caught four touchdowns over his two year career at Youngstown State, including a five-yard scoring grab against Penn State University in 2010. Prior to his time at YSU, Barboza played two seasons at Erie Community College, where he earned an Associate's Degree in communications studies in 2009, serving as team captain both years as a wide receiver and quarterback. The team captured a Region III Championship during his stay.
