Biography

Served as backup to All-America tight end Dan Light in 2013… will look to build off the experience gained by appearing in seven games in 2012 and 13 in 2013… provides Fordham with depth at tight end… also served as the backup punter in 2012… a First Team All-Conference pick in high school… led high school to a state title… father played professional football with the St. Louis Rams.. named to the 2011 and 2013 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2013: Appeared in 13 games as a junior, at tight end and on special teams… recorded six tackles on special teams, four solo… also caught one pass for 14 yards in the win at Colgate.

2012: Appeared in seven games as a sophomore.

2011: Did not see varsity action as a freshman.

Before Fordham: A graduate of The Bishop’s School in La Jolla, California, where he was a member of the football and soccer teams… played football for head coach Joel Allen… named First Team All-Coastal League… averaged 18.1 yards/reception as a senior… member of the California state championship team… 2010 team captain… named a Union-Tribune Scholar-Athlete.

Personal: Son of Jane and Mark Malkiewicz… father was a punter at the University of Georgia and later in the NFL with the St. Louis Rams... has an older brother, Corey, a younger brother, Drew, and a younger sister, Julia… a Finance major.
