Biography

Ian Edmiston2016: Started 38 of the 48 games he appeared in... Batted .213 with 15 runs scored, five doubles, a triple, a home run, and nine RBI... Had five stolen bases... Had a good run in conference action, hitting .275 with three doubles and four RBI... Registered six multi-hit games and two multi-RBI contests... Was 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBI at Hofstra (3/16)... Went 3-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored at Albany (3/30)... Was 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI against Iona (4/12)... Totaled four hits and two RBI in the Rams' series at Davidson (4/23-24)... Was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI versus Dayton (5/19)... Finished his career with 187 games played, which is tied for 14th all-time... Named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2015: Served as the Rams' starting third baseman, playing in all 54 games, starting 52... Hit a career-best .307, while also setting career-highs in runs (23), hits (59), doubles (16), RBI (27), and stolen bases (6)... Led team in doubles, while tying for the team-lead in hits and sacrifice hits (9)... Was second on the squad in batting average and fourth in RBI... Registered five multi-hit games, which included three over the final five games of the season... Was 1-for-2 with a double, two RBI, and two walks versus Quinnipiac (3/18)... Notched a three-run double in Fordham's win at George Mason (3/23)... Was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored in a win over VCU (5/15)... Hit .333 (4-12) at the Atlantic 10 Championship, registering multi-hit games against Dayton and Saint Louis (5/22).

2013: Stepped into the starting spot at third base for most of his freshman season, starting 48 of 51 games... Finished third on the team in batting average at .269 and led the squad with nine doubles... Also scored 18 runs with a home run and 16 RBI... Recorded 10 multi-hit games... Opened his career 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI against Michigan (2/22) and ended the series with a 3-for-5 performance with a double and two RBI (2/23)... Was 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored versus Lehigh (3/2)... Began a season-long seven-game hitting streak against NJIT with two hits and an RBI (3/15)... Was 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, and four RBI at Georgia State (4/5)... Posted his first four-hit game at Butler, going 4-for-5 with an RBI (4/27)... Went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI versus Manhattan (4/30)... Had a pair of multi-hit games against Richmond (5/10-11).

Before Fordham: Four-year varsity baseball player at Lake Norman High School... 2012 team MVP... Runner-up for the Conference Player of the Year Award twice (2011-12)... I-MECK All-Conference selection twice... Set the single-season conference batting average record at .595 as a senior with a .465 overall average...Set a school record with 41 hits as a junior and was an All-County selection... Batted .466 overall (.574 in conference play) to go with 13 doubles, 23 RBI, and a .670 slugging percentage... Helped Lake Norman to the 2009 3A State Championship and was a part of the 2010 & 2011 N.C. State Games team for Region 7... Played summer ball for the CBC O's Navy and coach Jeff Schaefer.... Had a 4.3 GPA and was a Beta Club member... Four-year Scholar-Athlete.
