Joshua Boyd joined the Fordham baseball staff in 2015 as a volunteer assistant coach.

Boyd has served as an assistant baseball coach at his alma mater, West Morris Central High School, for the past three years, where he was also a teacher's assistant and the head junior varsity basketball coach.  In addition to his high school coaching, he was the head coach of the Mt. Morris Senior Legion baseball team 18U (Summer 2012-14) and the DiamondJack 17U Gold Team (Summer 2015).

Before coaching, Boyd was a four-year starting outfielder at Monmouth University, playing over 200 games for the Hawks, and helping the squad to an NCAA berth in 2009.  He finished his career second all-time at Monmouth in triples (11) and fifth in stolen bases (53).  A team captain as a senior, Boyd was a part of the "Coaching Boys to Men" Leadership Program at Monmouth as well as the Peer Leader Program.

Boyd graduated from Monmouth in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
