Biography

2001: Named Atlantic 10 Player of the Year and First Team All-Atlantic 10… Had one of best offensive seasons in Fordham history… Led team in at bats, hits, runs, home runs, RBI, stolen bases, total bases, doubles, triples, walks, and slugging %… Was second on team in batting average at .363… Led the Atlantic 10 in stolen bases with 36 and triples with 8… Became second Fordham player ever to lead A-10 in steals (Muys ’98)… Ranked 16th in the NCAA in stolen bases (0.71/game) and 24th in triples… Also ranked as the 10th “Toughest to strikeout” by the NCAA… Broke the Fordham single-game record and tied an NCAA record with eight stolen bases in a win over Wagner (4/11)… Broke the Fordham record for RBI in a game with nine in win over C.W. Post (3/28)… His 120 total bases was the second best total in Fordham history (Marchiano ’97 – 214)… His 69 hits tied for the third best single-season total in Fordham history… Had 20 multi-hit games, including one four-hit game and six three hit games… Finished with 12 multi-RBI games, including 3 three-RBI games and his nine RBI game against C.W. Post… Had a 14-game hitting streak from 4/7 – 4/22… Went 4-for-4 with three home runs in the win over C.W. Post (3/28)… Went 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in a win over Hofstra (4/18)… Went 3-for-5 with three runs, a double, and two RBI in a win at LIU (4/2)… Went 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBI in the first game of a doubleheader against La Salle (3/31)… Followed with another 3-for-4 performance with two doubles and an RBI in game two against LaSalle… Was 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and a triple in a loss to Iowa (3/11)… Went 3-for-5 with two RBI in a loss at Embry-Riddle (3/9)… Went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and a triple in a loss to St. John’s… Played with teammate Jason Conlisk at the Baseball Academy and the Florida Instructional Collegiate League in Bradenton, FL this past summer.

2000: Collegiate Baseball/Lousville Slugger Freshman All-American Honorable Mention.

Before Fordham:  A graduate of Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin High School in Chardon, Ohio where he lettered in Baseball, football and basketball…A three-year letter winner with the baseball and basketball squads…A 1999 preseason Collegiate Baseball All-American…Named Player of the Year as a senior by the Cleveland Plain Dealer…League MVP and All-Ohio Division II…Served as a team captain…Named First Team All-North Coast League and a First Team Plain Dealer All-Star as a junior…Also named First Team News-Herald Dream Team, First Team All-Northeast District Division II and Honorable Mention All-State…Hit .511 (48-94) as a junior with 31 stolen bases in 31 attempts for the Lions…Holds school records for hits, walks, stolen bases and RBI…Played high school baseball for Jim Clark…National Merit Scholar.
