Have there been any notices made public about 2020/21 Men's Basketball freshman recruits/transfers?
We have two scholarships available for the 2020-21 academic year. We have signed a guard that will be announced later today. Given the number of student-athletes on the NCAA transfer portal there are many options for the remaining scholarship.

Last year I asked if I would live to see the basketball team win a game in the NCAA Tournament and you assured me we would see it together. I think you LIED. What an embarrassment...AGAIN. We spent a lot of money on tuition for our two sons. I won't give another nickel.
I did say I hoped you lived long enough that you and I would be sitting next to each other watching an NCAA game. Never put a time limit on it. Stay healthy.

Thank you for taking these questions. I do not understand the strategy of your security deployment at men’s basketball events. The is no security check or personnel stationed at the entry point to the facility. Meanwhile once in the facility, the yellow jacketed persons are very aggressive and openly hostile to your customers. They rudely and unnecessarily demand to see tickets numerous times.
Thank you for your question and bringing this to our attention. I will share this with our staff and ask our security staff to be more polite and helpful. Please let me know if you would like to attend another game as my guest.

My son plays on the baseball team, and I was wondering if ESPN + was going to have the games as they did last year.
Yes, selected games will be streamed on ESPN+. They will include most home games and most A-10 games (both home and away). Once the stream schedule is finalized it will be posted on the website.

Why must you charge such a high rate ( $ 17 ) for parking for a college basketball game. That is almost as much as we pay for a ticket to the game. Have not been to a campus facility for college basketball that is so very high. Makes no sense unless you don't want people come to see your team play. ( from a former Athletic Director of Scranton Preparatory School, Scranton, Pa. )
Thank you for your question regarding parking at Fordham. Parking at Fordham is $17 / day. Parking comes under the auspices of Public Safety.

When did Fordham Athletics change the block F logo, omitting the gray trim in place of all white/maroon coloring? I noticed this on the football helmets during the season, and now on the website. Yet the old gray/maroon scheme is shown and used elsewhere including the RHG court, and Jack Coffey Field . I think a Division one athletic program should show consistency and although seemingly something minor, attention to detail (or lack thereof) speaks volumes.
The logo with the gray trim is the primary mark. We do have secondary marks such as the two color block F, which the website goes to when one scrolls down the site.

Can you please provide some sort of info about the upcoming Fordham Holiday Classic coming later this month. The schedule is unclear and it would be a great help if you provide clarity on this thank you very much.
The 13th Annual Holiday Classic is Sunday/Monday December 29-30 involving Fordham, Hofstra, Houston, and Samford. Fordham and Samford will kick things off at 1 p.m. on the 29th, followed by Houston and Hofstra. The two winners will meet on the 30th at 3 p.m. (or 30 minutes following the conclusion of game one between the losers of day one, which starts at 1 p.m.).
Only Fordham's contests will be streamed on ESPN+ and WFUVsports.org, unless other schools bring their own radio.

Dear Mr. Roach, this is not a question. I just watched the Manhattan/Fordham men's game on ESPN+, which was announced by one of your varsity women's athletes...WOW, does she have a brilliant future, clear, highly perceptive and no blather...I wish her the best in basketball, but I look forward to hearing her again. If it's possible please pass this on.PS I'm Manhattan, Class of '70.
Thank you very much. We are very proud of Isis and I agree she Is has a bright future as a broadcaster. I will pass on to her you very kind words.

It is insulting to fans and alums to see the attendance for mens basketball so over-stated. There were @400 people at the SFU game and the box score lists 3200 which would be a sellout. The place was empty. This is an integrity problem.
The St. Francis game was part of a doubleheader with the women, who hosted Notre Dame. The women's game was sold out and it's common practice to list one attendance for both games.

Good game last night....just a minor point......the process for paying for parking ($17.00 ...ouch!) is not very efficient....one person, taking the fee and giving back a parking pass, takes too long....after a two hour drive, waiting extra minutes before finding a bathroom, is not pleasant.
Thank you for your question. I will forward to Public Safety which handles all parking.

Fordham Crew is finally getting a boathouse that it will share with the Fordham Sailing Team. As you know crew or rowing is the oldest intercollegiate sport in the USA. This is the first Fordham owned boathouse since our Harlem River Fordham Crew Boathouse burned down in Feb 1979. We have shared and scrambled to row in various facilities since then. I was the Varsity Crew Co-Captain in 1971-‘72. Will you support the Fordham Crew team and insure that it gets its new home with the Sailing Team? Would you consider giving some men’s athletic scholarship for crew as the University does for women’s crew? This is so important to Fordham’s Athletic recognition with top quality and academically world class universities
Thank you for your support of our crew program. As you are aware a group of alumni have purchased property in the Bronx that will give crew and sailing a permanent home. This is terrific for both programs. It will take some time to bring the property to usable conditions but it will be well worth the wait.
In regards to scholarships there are no plans to begin awarding scholarships to men’s crew.

Why after one year are there no football notes for upcoming games.
Last year, the university and athletic websites were under review for ADA compliance and one of the issues was non-compliant .pdf files. That is why we did not post game notes for any sport last fall. We worked with Sidearm and the university on the issues and we were cleared late last year.
Football game notes are now being posted along with the media guide.

Why is there so little information available about player and coaches departures and signings? Also what is the problem with the ticket office?
Once the MBB staff is officially hired we will announce our two new assistant coaches. The MBB roster will be updated soon.
We are going through a staff transition with the ticket office. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Feel free to contact me directly at
droach1@fordham.edu. If you have an issues.
