The Men's Basketball program is on the rise and I and many others are confident Coach Neubauer will make us proud.
My question is what is the Athletic Department doing to increase home game attendance? What specifically is the staff doing to get the students to the games? The atmosphere needs to be far more entertaining. Bigger & better band, more lively mascot, timeout entertainment, etc. With all due respect, the marketing to draw students and atmosphere is far below A-10 level. What are your plans to change this?
Thank you for your question. Â Scott Donnelly, Associate AD for Promotions and Marketing has plans to build on what he implemented last year and continue to enhance the game atmosphere. Coach Neubauer has done a terrific job turning the program around and building excitement for the upcoming season. Go Rams!

On this 45th Anniversary of my FCRH graduation (1971, also FLS '79) and the great Digger Phelps team, I add to a question already asked. First, the gym must be replaced. Then Fordham should return to the Patriot League...in keeping with its academic goals. The University position is lack of funds, but it somehow had the wherewithal and lack of foresight to build a new law school building at exactly the moment when law school attendance everywhere started on a downward death spiral.
Congrats on your 45th reunion. I hope you have a nice Jubilee weekend. Fordham is a special place! We currently have no plans to replace the RHG. We do have architectural plans for new football offices, softball/baseball offices, varsity weight room and team locker rooms. We are very comfortable and competitive across the board in the Atlantic 10 conference and our student-athletes academic performance is comparable to the overall student population. Â
Thank you for your interest in Fordham Athletics. Go Rams!

It has been said that leadership is the ability to make vision a reality. Sometimes it seems like Fordham's leaders have not always had a strong vision for its athletic programs. With that in mind, but it where do you see Fordham football in 10-15 years time? Where do you see Fordham men's basketball? Where might we see their games in 10-15-20 years?
Thank you for your question. It is hard to predict where intercollegiate athletics will be nationally 10-15-20 years from now especially if one thinks about the many changes that have occurred over the last few years. We have seen many schools switch conferences as schools and leagues have chased TV money. So it's hard to know where all this is headed. With that said, I see us continuing to play FCS football hopefully in an expanded Patriot League. Basketball will continue to play in the A10 which will be known as one of the top Basketball-centric conferences in the country. Â
Go Rams!

Have you guys ever thought about adding a Mens Lacrosse team?
The question of lacrosse for men and women has been raised before. Â Given facility and financial constraints we do not intend to add a women's or men's lacrosse team.

I'm a future class of 2020 ram, are there any opportunities for students to get involved with the varsity teams. For example, are there any student manager positions with the football team. If so, where would I go to apply for that position. Thanks
I'm pleased to hear that you will be joining us at Fordham. There is plenty of opportunity to help with one of our teams. I will forward your email to our football staff and have someone contact you directly. Â Go Rams!

Will Luxury Box tickets be available for purchase for the Holy Cross game at Yankee Stadium?
If you call the ticket office at 718 817-4759 you will be added to the wait list for suites. We will find our how many suites will be available later this spring.

I teach in a Bronx school and attended a women's bb game you sponsored for city schools a few years ago ... does this still exist (it was great!)? If so, when and how can I book my class? thanks a lot
Our women's basketball regular season was completed last week. We did have our annual city school day in January. I'm not sure why your school was not involved. Please email me the name of your school and I will make sure you are on the list for next year. Have a great day! Go Rams!
Further explanation on ticketing/seating issue:
Last week I received some very helpful feedback on some ticketing and seating problems. It was very helpful to receive this information as we had some issues with our ticketing system provider. These questions brought those  issues to our attention. The ticketing issue has been addressed by our system provider and our event staff has received further instructions as how to help those who attend our games. Feel free to email me directly at droach1@fordham.edu any time if you experience problems.
Go Rams!

Dave, just want to echo the other post about ticket issues. We had a group of eight for the St. Joe's game and people were siting in our seats. The even staff was useless and our only option was to not sit together but scramble to find empty seats anywhere else. It was a totally negative experience.
Sorry about your experience at the St. Joe's game. We can certainly do a better job and will talk with our staff. Â I'm sorry for the inconvenience. If you attend one of our remains games please come and see me. Go Rams!

Dave, too many freebie or comp tickets or dupe tickets are given out without seat designations for men's basketball. People sit wherever they want and it is chaos at a crowded game. Please stop this practice and issue seats assignments for comps.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Group or comp tickets should be sitting in sections assigned. We have discussed some changes  for seating assignments for next year. In the meantime we will reiterate to our event staff that they need to be more diligent on checking tickets. Have a great day & Go Rams!

On Sunday, you tweeted that you were very disappointed with the student section attendace at the Dayton game. My question is what have you implemented to make basketball games more fun and enjoyable for students to attend? Then based on these implementations, how come it is not working?
Thank you for the follow on Twitter. We continue to provide food, give aways and contests to our students. It seems to work well sometimes and other times like
Sunday not so well. I was disappointed
on Sunday. I thought we would have had a better crowd considering the students were snowed in
on Saturday. I do feel that
Saturday afternoon is better for students than
Sunday but the day and time are decided by the A10 for TV exposure. The snow probably hurt the non student crowd. We will be doubling our efforts with our students in terms of social media and give aways. We also have decided to  pursue more community groups.
Hope to see you at the games. Go Rams!

I've been enjoying the success of Fordham's football program, recently. Any chance they could revisit that old rivalry with the University of Pittsburgh? If so, I'd like to be the first in line for tickets.
Thank you for your nice remarks about our football program and question about future scheduling. We did have some conversations with the University of Pittsburgh in regards to playing a game in the future. Unfortunately we were not able to get a date that would work. Maybe something can be scheduled after 2021 as we are booked with an FBS opponent through the 2021 season. Thanks again for your interest.

What are the specific plans to upgrade the football facilities to help them maintain the current success and ensure that Coach Moorehead will stick around?
We currently are raising funds to construct/renovate new offices and additional meeting space for our highly successful football program. In addition we are looking at plans to construct a new varsity strength & conditioning center. Coach Moorhead and his staff have done a tremendous job with the program. Go Rams!

How come fewer men's basketball games are televised this year? In particular, not a single out of conference game is televised. Living in New Jersey, it can be difficult to make it to the Rose Hill Gym on weeknights, so I enjoyed watching the Rams on TV. Watching on the A-10 Digital Network is not the same as SNY. Thanks and go Rams!
Thank you for your email. The A10 picked up another TV partner this year in the American Sports Network. We hoped some of our non conference games would have been picked up. We also wanted our fans and supporters to help us create a larger crowd at the Rose Hill Gym. The A10 digital network will continue to improve as the year progresses. Have a great Holiday!

There has been a recurring problem with camerawork during streaming of the football and now basketball games. Camera work is missing plays, and now the stream of the BB Game vs FDU is unwatchable as the camera operator is zooming in on the ball handler and trying to follow the player. Do they get any kind of training?
Thank you for your letter. We have been making some changes in our video streaming production (separate announcing crew for basketball games, upgraded graphics, etc.) and it has been a learning process for the students who are involved in the production. We look to improve on this as we go forward. Go Rams.

With the Fordham football team playing Holy Cross at Yankee Stadium next year, have there been any discussions on having the Fordham baseball team play a game at Yankee Stadium? The winningest NCAA baseball program playing a game at Yankee Stadium would certainly make the news in the New York area, and maybe even beyond. Thanks and go Rams!
We are excited about next year's football game vs. Holy Cross at Yankee Stadium. We have not had any discussions about playing a baseball game at the Stadium. We would certainly entertain participating in a college baseball tournament at the Stadium similar to tournaments held at other major league parks. Go Rams!

Why can't I get all the Fordham games on line? This week I would have to subscribe to the Ivy League Network to see the game.
What is the problem?
Home teams and their conferences have the rights to their on line streaming. To view away games you have to view our opponent's broadcast. Â Go Rams!

Are there any plans to produce 2015 media guides for Men's and Women's Soccer?
Media guides for both soccer teams are currently being produced and will be posted to the web site as soon as they are ready. Go Rams!

For those unable to make it to RH for the home football games, the Campus Insiders on the PLN is beyond pathetic. Bad streams - cameras that don't follow the play, it's just unacceptable.
Is there any mode to review the setup with this vendor who clearly doesn't give proper care to production of our games?
Go Rams!
Thank you for bring this to our attention. Not sure if the weather had anything to do with the broadcast or not. We will look into this see what happened. Go Rams!
