Biography

Will serve as a team captain this fall for the second straight year... a Second Team All-Patriot League selection in 2007 and 2008... will move from linebacker to free safety for the 2009 season... enjoyed a solid spring capped by four tackles and a pass breakup in the spring game... second leading tackler on the 2008 squad... has started all 23 games over the past two years at linebacker... broke into the starting line-up at linebacker in 2007... named NCAA FCS Defensive Player of the Week following the 2007 Holy Cross game by Sports Network, College Sporting News and SME Networks... tied for team lead with three interceptions and third on the team in total tackles... gained valuable experience as a rookie, appearing in all eleven games... displayed his versatility as a freshman, moving from wide receiver to linebacker.

2008: Started all eleven games at outside linebacker as a junior... earned Second Team All-Patriot League honors... second on the team with 67 total tackles, 39 solo, including 7.5 for loss and two sacks... also intercepted a pass and broke up five others... led Patriot League with three forced fumbles and ranked 17th in total tackles... made nine tackles, six solo, and intercepted a pass that was returned 12 yards and led to a Fordham touchdown at Holy Cross... also had nine tackles, three solo, at Dayton... registered eight tackles, seven solo, including two for loss and one sack against Lehigh... finished with seven tackles, five solo, including two for loss, in the Marist win... also broke up two passes and forced a fumble in the Marist game... made seven tackles, including two solo and one for loss, and deflected a pass in the Liberty Cup win at Columbia... tackled running back Mike McLeod in the end zone for a safety and added five other tackles, including one other for loss, while also forcing a fumble in the Yale win... recorded six stops, four solo, and forced a fumble that was returned for a touchdown in the season finale at Bucknell... had six tackles, three solo including one sack, at Colgate.

2007: Started all 12 games at outside linebacker for the Rams as a sophomore... tied for team lead with three interceptions which he returned for 43 yards... third on team with 70 total tackles, 43 solo, including 6.5 for a loss of 30 yards and 2.5 sacks for 20 yards... also had five pass break ups (second on the team) and recovered a fumble... had a career day against Holy Cross, recovering a fumble in the end zone for a score and picking off a pass in the final seconds to secure the Fordham win... finished with seven total tackles, four solo, including one for loss and two pass deflections... named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week as well as NCAA FCS Defensive Player of the Week following the Holy Cross game by Sports Network, College Sporting News and SME Networks... finished with a season-high ten tackles, four solo, against Albany, including one for loss... recorded seven tackles, two solo, and intercepted a pass in the NCAA FCS playoff game at Massachusetts... opened the season with seven tackles, including six solo and two for loss, at Rhode Island... also had seven tackles, including five solo and one for loss, versus Dayton... made seven stops, six solo, at Colgate... registered five solo tackles, including one sack, and intercepted a pass in the win over Lehigh... also had five tackles, four solo, including one sack at Georgetown and five more, two solo, at Lafayette.

2006: Appeared in all eleven games at wide receiver and linebacker as a freshman... finished with 18 total tackles, 13 solo... made a season-high six tackles, three solo, in the season-ending win over Georgetown... recorded five solo stops in the Lehigh contest... caught one pass for nine yards in the Albany win.

Before Fordham: A graduate of St. Peter Chanel High School in Bedford, Ohio... lettered in football, basketball and track... an Associated Press 2005 All-Ohio Football Team selection... also named 2005 First Team All-State and 2005 First Team All-District... a 2004 & 2005 First Team All-Conference pick... second all-time leading receiver at St. Peter Chanel... named Team MVP.
