Rams open home season on Wednesday

Bronx, N.Y. – After five straight road contests, the Fordham men's soccer squad will finally get to open its home season on Wednesday, September 9, as they host Columbia University at Moglia Stadium at 7:00 p.m.

Fordham enters the game with an 2-2-1 record after a 2-0 win at Lafayette on Saturday afternoon while Columbia is 0-1-1 and is coming off a 3-3 tie at home with Fairfield on Saturday.

The Rams have a second contest on the week as they travel into Queens to face St. John's on Sunday at 7:00 p.m.

Notes
• This will be the 35th meeting between the Rams and the Lions.

• Columbia leads the all-time series, 29-13-6, which started in 1958, and has taken the past two meetings.

• Fordham will played four of the first five matches of 2026 on natural grass with the lone artificial surface coming at Villanova.

• Following the opening five games, the Rams will play only two other matches on the real stuff, at Dayton and at Davidson.

• The Rams played their first five matches on the road and ten of their 15 matches away from the Bronx.

• All told, Fordham will travel 5,910 miles during the 2026 season.

• The 2026 Fordham Rams will be one of the newest rosters in the NCAA.

• Fordham returns just ten players from the 2025 roster who account for only 15% of the minutes played by last year's squad.

• The Rams are represented by a single captain in 2026: senior Kamran Mojabi.
