Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University men's soccer squad will continue its 2026 season, and close out a five-game season-opening road schedule, with a trip to Easton, Pa., to take on the Lafayette College Leopards at Emmitt Field at Gummeson Grounds on Saturday, September 5, at 4:00 p.m.
Notes
• Fordham enters the game with an 1-2-1 record after a 1-0 loss at Villanova on Thursday afternoon while Lafayette is 1-2-1 and is coming off a 1-0 loss to La Salle at home on Thursday.
• This will be the 13th meeting between the Rams and the Leopards.
• Lafayette leads the all-time series, which started in 1990 when Fordham was a member of the Patriot League, 6-5-1, but Fordham has taken the past two meetings.
• Fordham freshman midfielder
Marco Cantalapiedra (Biscayne, Fla./Collegiate Preparatory Academy) was named the Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week for the week of Aug. 24-30.
• Fordham will play four of the first five matches of 2026 on natural grass with the lone artificial surface coming at Villanova.
• Following the opening five games, the Rams will play only two other matches on the real stuff, at Dayton and at Davidson.
