Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University Rams continue their 2026 season by traveling to Statesboro, Ga., to compete in the Georgia Southern Invitational on September 18 and 19.
 
The Rams will face North Florida on Friday at 11:00 a.m., Kennesaw State on Friday at 5:00 p.m. and the host school, Georgia Southern, on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
 
Fordham enters the tournament with an 6-4 record after going 2-1 at the Bryant Invitational last week with wins over Merrimack (3-1) and Bryant (3-0), and a loss to Marist (3-2).
  
SERIES HISTORIES
• This will be the first meeting between Fordham and its three opponents at the Georgia Southern Invitational.
 
NEWS & NOTES
• Last season, the Rams set multiple team blocking records, including total blocks at 303. Fordham tallied 17 games with 10 or more blocks, and broke the total blocks record in 15 fewer sets than the 2005 Rams.
• Despite missing a portion of the year with an injury, Tatum Holderied still managed to set the single season block assists record with 144 in 2025, while her 1.83 blocks per set were the second-best mark in school history.  She also currently holds the career blocks per set record at 1.36.
• Whitney Woodrow has now amassed 2,145 career assists, placing her ninth on the Fordham career list.  Currently, only five Rams have reached the 3,000-assist mark.

WHO'S NEXT
• The Rams open their Atlantic 10 schedule by traveling to Pittsburgh, Pa., to take on the Duquesne University Dukes on Friday, September 25 at 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, September 26 at 2:00 p.m.
• It will be the 53rd and 54th meetings between the Rams and the Dukes.
• Duquesne leads the all-time series, which started in 1995, 42-10, and has taken the past three meetings.
• The Dukes took both of last year's meeting, 3-1 and 3-0, in the Bronx.
• The last Fordham win came in 2024, a 3-1 win in Pittsburgh.
