BRONX, N.Y. -  The Fordham University Rams continue the 2026 season, Fordham's 126th varsity season, by traveling to Conway, S.C., to take on the Coastal Carolina University Chanticleers in Brooks Stadium on Saturday, September 12, at 7:30 p.m.
 
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Dom Izzo (p-b-p) and Kyle Emanuel
(analyst) announcing and broadcast live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and the WFUV YouTube channel with Derek  Beaulieu (p-b-p) and Anthony Smith (analyst) handling the announcing chores.
 
Fordham enters the game with an 0-2 record after a 38-0 loss at North Dakota State last Saturday while Coastal Carolina opens its 2026 season with a 31-24 loss at West Virginia last Saturday.
 
A few notes on the game:
• Saturday's game will be the first meeting between Fordham and Coastal Carolina on the gridiron.
 
• The Chanticleers moved from FCS to FBS in 2016, competing as an independent until joining the Sun Belt in 2017.
 
• Fordham alum and Athletic Hall of Famer, Joe Moglia served as the Coastal Carolina head coach from 2012-18.
 
• The Rams play their home games at Moglia Stadium, named for Joe Moglia.
 
• Fordham has played one current member of the Sun Belt Conference, defeating Old Dominion in 2009, 34-29, when the Monarchs played at the FCS level.
 
• It is the second of two consecutive games against an FBS opponent as the Rams played at North Dakota State last weekend.
 
• Senior linebacker Andrew Osmun and senior long snapper Michael Doctor were named preseason All-Patriot League.
 
• Fordham will be represented by five captains in 2026: senior wide receiver Ricky Gonzalez II, senior center Dylan Haines, senior linebacker Andrew Osmun, grad student defensive lineman Colby Spencer, senior quarterback Gunnar Smith.
