Bronx, N.Y. – With the 2026 Fordham Football camp in full swing we continue the position-by-position breakdown of the 2026 roster with a peek at the running backs.
 
The Rams have a number of experienced running backs returning for 2026, led by sophomore Yohan-Li Louis, who appeared in all 12 games as a freshman, rushing 69 times for 249 yards (3.6 yards/carry) and catching 19 passes out of the backfield for 154 yards (8.1 yards/catch).
 
Other returners include senior Jamell James, who carried 65 times for 190 yards (2.9 yards/carry) and one touchdown last year while also catching 20 passes for 103 yards (5.2 yards/catch), senior Jacob Rodriguez, who appeared in first four games as a junior before missing rest of season due to injury, senior Vinny Rugai, who saw action in five games in 2025, and junior Rocco Grillo along with sophomore Dylan Macon, who did not see action last year.
 
Newcomers at running back include sophomore Will Deady, a transfer from Marist and an All-State selection at Ridge High School, freshman Taariq Denson, a First Team All-WCAC performer at Bishop McNamara High School last fall, and freshman Barrett Fallon, the 2025 District 14-4A Division I MVP at Davenport High School.
 
The Rams open the 2026 season on Friday night, August 28, as they open Patriot League play by hosting the Colgate University Raiders at Moglia Stadium at 6:00 p.m. Season and individual game tickets are now on sale on the Fordham Ticket website.
