Bronx, N.Y. – With the 2026 Fordham Football camp in full swing it's time to start the position-by-position breakdown of the 2026 roster, starting with the quarterbacks.
 
The Rams will be led into 2026 by senior Gunnar Smith, who started every game last year, his first with Fordham after transferring in from UCF. He completed 243 of 429 passes for 2,680 yards and 14 touchdowns and also rushed 143 times for 248 net yards and a team-high six scores. Smith led the Patriot League and ranked 14th in the NCAA FCS in completions/game (20.3) and was tops in the Patriot League and ranked 21st in the NCAA FCS in passing yards/game (223.3). He had eight 200-yard passing games, including two 300-yard games.
 
Other quarterbacks returning for Fordham in 2026 are juniors Tripp Holley and Thomas Rosso. Holley has appeared in four games over the past two years, starting two of them, while Rosso has not seen action for the Rams.
 
The lone newcomer at quarterback is freshman Crew Colon, who led Williston Northampton to a 7-0 record in the Northeast Prep League last year while earning First Team All-Conference honors.
 
The Rams open the 2026 season on Friday night, August 28, as they open Patriot League play by hosting the Colgate University Raiders at Moglia Stadium at 6:00 p.m. Season and individual game tickets are now on sale on the Fordham Ticket website.
