Baseball Shut Out by Wagner

Rams Unable To Solve Seahawks in 3-0 Loss

Bronx, N.Y. – (March 25, 2026) – Five Wagner pitchers combined for a seven-hit shutout as the Seahawks defeated the Fordham Rams, 3-0, at Houlihan Park on Wednesday afternoon.
 
With the loss, Fordham dropped to 11-12 overall, while Wagner improved to 8-13.
 
THE GAME
  • All the offense in the game came in the top of second inning, when Wagner struck for three runs, highlighted by a two-run single by Jayden Alvarez.The other run came on a hit by pitch with the bases loaded.
  • Fordham has multiple opportunities to get on the board, leaving seven on base over the final four innings.
  • The Rams left the bases loaded in the seventh, while having two in scoring position with no outs in the eighth, but in neither case could Fordham find the run scoring hit.
 
GAME NOTES
  • Wagner's Quinn Finnegan threw the first three innings, allowing two hits, while Sam Bonilla gave up just one hit and struck out five over the next three innings.Tyler Vargas, William Grayson, and Keith Davis then pitched one scoreless inning each to complete the shutout.
  • Fordham's Caden Young was the lone Ram with multiple hits, going 2-for-4 with a double.
  • Madden Ocko had a pinch-hit double in the ninth, tying him for the team lead with six this season.
  • Robbie Stewart (4-1) was hooked with the loss, allowing three runs over the first two innings of the game.
  • Ryan Egan and Alec Murray each threw two innings of scoreless relief, while Aidan O'Brien-Gonzalez, Jordan Rodarte, and Aric Berg each had one scoreless inning.

  • The Rams are back in league play on Friday, March 27th, as Fordham begins a three-game series against Saint Joseph's, starting at 3:00 PM at Houlihan Park.
