BRONX, N.Y. – The mascot of the 2026 Winter Olympics is a stoat. Stoats are highly energetic predators, known for their incredible speed, agility, and relentless hunting style, often using a zig-zag pattern to locate prey. Today Fordham grad student guard
Dejour Reaves did his best stoat impression, zig-zagging through the Davidson defense to score a game-high 21 points and lead Fordham to a 63-59 Atlantic 10 win over the Wildcats in the historic Rose Hill Gym.
With the win, the Rams' fourth in a row, Fordham improves to 16-12 overall, 7-8 in the Atlantic 10, while Davidson falls to 16-11, 7-7 in the conference.
Reaves was 6-for-10 from the field and 9-for-10 from the charity stripe for his 21 points and he added four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Senior guard
Christian Henry also finished in double figures for the Rams with eleven points to go with six assists and three rebounds while junior forward
Rikus Schulte was just shy of a double-double, scoring nine points, grabbing nine rebounds and adding three steals.
How it Happened
• The Rams led by seven at the break, 29-22, and opened the second half with a Henry jumper and an
Akira Jacobs three to take their biggest lead of the day, 34-22, two minutes into the half.
• The Wildcats then went on a 17-6 run, aided by four three-pointers, to cut the Fordham lead to one, 40-39, with 11:55 remaining.
• A
Marcus Greene three 20 seconds later put the Rams lead by to four, 43-39, and started an 8-0 spurt as Fordham took a 48-39 lead with 8:56 left.
• Davidson again came back, cutting the Fordham advantage to two four times over the next six minutes, the final time at 56-54 with 2:39 on the clock.
• Six straight Ram points put Fordham up six, 62-54, with 43 seconds remaining but the Wildcats were fouled shooting a three six seconds later and hit all three free throws to make it a three-point game, 60-57, but that was as close as Davidson would get.
