BRONX, N.Y.  – In celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, the Fordham Athletic Department and Ridgewood Savings Bank will host its annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day Youth Clinic on Jan. 31 prior to the women's basketball team's game against Rhode Island.
 
Registration for the complimentary event will take place inside the Lombardi Center Fieldhouse beginning at 11:45 a.m. before the clinic kicks off at 12:30 p.m.
 
Student-athletes and coaches from many of Fordham's  22 varsity programs will be on hand to instruct the next generation of female stars on the fundamentals of their respective sport.  Registration is open to girls in kindergarten through sixth grade.
 
The clinic is free, but space is limited.  Participants are encouraged to sign up in advance by clicking here.
 
All attendees for of the NGWSD Clinic will receive complimentary admission to the women's basketball game against Rhode Island, which is scheduled to tip off at 2 p.m.  Parents or guardians can receive discounted $5 tickets to the game by using the promo code NGWSD25.
