Swimming & Diving Gets Dual Meet Sweep at Rider

Fordham Men Win 124-115 on Final Race, While Women Post 175-68 Victory

Lawrenceville, N.J. – (January 13, 2026) – The Fordham swimming & diving team returned to action on Tuesday night, picking up a dual meet sweep of Rider at the Richard A. Coppola Pool in New Jersey.
 
MEN'S MEET
  • The Rams pulled out a 124-115 win over the Broncs.
  • The meet win was decided on the final event, as Fordham's team of Daniel Ribeiro, Misha Semenov, David Topi, and Jesse Abramson won the 200 freestyle relay in a time of 1:24.58.
  • Quinn MacPhail was a dual event winner, taking first in the 200 (1:42.52) and 500 (4:35.69) freestyle events.
  • Five other Rams earned an event win on Tuesday.
  • Aiden Dane was first in the 1000 freestyle in 9:56.04, while Max Maycher won the 200 individual medley in 1:54.94.
  • Ribeiro grabbed first in the 100 butterfly in 51.21 seconds with Abramson taking the top spot in the 100 freestyle in 47.21 seconds.
  • David Vargas was the final Ram with an individual event win, placing first in the one-meter dive with a score of 383.25 points.
WOMEN'S MEET
  • Fordham dominated Rider by a score of 175-68.
  • Katie Laverty swept the diving events with scores of 296.10 (1M) and 283.58 (3M).
  • The Rams also swept the relays, as Saskia Aikman, Lexi Lundell, Ella Montgomery, and Hayley Clark won the 200 medley relay in 1:46.34, while Aikman, Lundell, Allison Kim, and Hope Nolan took first in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:37.59.
  • Fordham then won seven individual swimming events, beginning with Campbell Stever taking first in the 1000 freestyle in 10:31.70.
  • Aikman placed first in the 200 freestyle in 1:55.41, while Lundell was first in the 50 freestyle at 24.64 seconds.
  • Miranda Bonitatebus was the winner of the 200 individual medley in 2:14.92 with Montgomery placing first in the 100 backstroke in 57.91.
  • Clark won the 100 butterfly in 57.97 seconds, while Magdalena Wlodarkiewicz was first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.01.

  • Fordham is back in the pool on Saturday, January 24th, as the Rams head to La Salle University for an 11:00 AM meet.
