BRONX, N.Y.  – Recognized for their achievements in the classroom during the 2024-25 school year, Fordham University Volleyball has earned a 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award, sponsored by INTENT!

The award, presented by the American Volleyball Coaches' Association, recognizes teams of all collegiate and high school levels whose cumulative GPA as a team is greater than 3.3 on a 4.0 scale for the academic year.

"It's certainly a testament to our program's commitment to the term 'Student-Athlete'," said Coach Choi. "Particularly at an academically-oriented institution like Fordham, I'm tremendously proud of our team's efforts on and off the court. It's astounding to see our student-athletes' diverse and fulfilling opportunities after their time at the University."

Monday's award from the AVCA marks the eight time the Maroon and White have earned a Team Academic Award, and the fifth time under head coach Ian Choi, with a team GPA of 3.476 for the 2024-25 season.

Fordham Volleyball opens the 2025 season on Aug. 29 in Binghamton, taking on the host Bearcats in the first of three matches on opening weekend in Upstate New York.
