BRONX, N.Y. – Fordham Men's Basketball Head Coach Mike Magpayo has announced the addition of 6-foot-10 forward Abass Bodija to his inaugural 2025-26 roster at Rose Hill.
Bodija will arrive in the Bronx as a redshirt freshman after sitting out last season at UC Riverside.
"Abass did a year in our program and grew tremendously," said Magpayo. "He is a well-rounded, 6-10 talent that can dribble, pass, and shoot. He comes from the renowned Center of Excellence in Australia where many of the best Australian players graduate from before having much success at the next level."
A product of Brisbane, Australia, Bodija played seven games in 2024 for the Southwest Metro Pirates of NBL1, Australia's second division. He averaged 3.4 points and 1.7 rebounds in just over seven minutes per game. He shot 43.4% from the field and blocked 1.0 shot per contest.
In 2023, Bodija secured a scholarship to attend Basketball Australia's Center of Excellence in Canberra before coming to the United States for college.
