Bronx, N.Y. – The 2025 Fordham University football schedule was officially released today and it includes a game against an FBS opponent along with five home games at Joe Moglia Stadium.

Head coach
Joe Conlin's Rams open the 2025 season with a trip up to Beantown to face the Boston College Eagles from the ACC on Saturday, August 30. It will be the 14th time over the past 15 years that Fordham will face an NCAA FCS school (a 2020 game at Hawaii was canceled due to COVID), with the Rams winning three of the games, a 30-29 triumph at Temple in 2013, a 37-35 victory at Army West Point in 2015, and a 40-37 victory in 2023 at Buffalo.

The following week, September 6, Fordham will host Monmouth University in its home opener at Joe Moglia Stadium before traveling out to Long Island for a game with Stony Brook University on September 13.

The Rams open Patriot League play on September 20 as they venture to Hamilton, N.Y., to face the Colgate University Raiders, and then return to the Bronx for the annual Ram-Crusader Cup game with Holy Cross on September 27.

Fordham continues its league schedule by traveling to Easton, Pa., to face Lafayette College on October 4 and, after a week off, host Dartmouth College at Moglia Stadium for the 2025 Homecoming game. Â

The following week, October 25, Lehigh University comes for the Bronx for Family Weekend before the Rams head south to face the newest Patriot League member, the University of Richmond, on November 1.

After hosting Bucknell University on November 8, the Rams play their final two contests on the road, traveling to Washington, D.C. to take on the Georgetown University Hoyas on November 15 to close out conference play and they travel to North Andover, Mass., to face Merrimack University on November 22.

August 30 – at Boston College (Alumni Stadium, Chestnut Hill, Mass.)
- This will be the 29th meeting between Fordham and Boston College, the first since 1954.
- The Eagles lead the all-time series, 14-12-2
- It will be the first meeting against a current member of the ACC since a game with Syracuse later in that 1954 season
- Besides Boston College and Syracuse, the Rams have faced five other current ACC schools (Clemson, Miami, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, and SMU)
- The Eagles went 7-6 overall, 4-4 in the ACC, in 2024.
- Boston College fell to Nebraska, 20-15, in the 2024 Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium.
- Frank Cavanaugh, aka The Iron Major, served as the head coach at Boston College from 1916-26 before becoming the Fordham head coach in 1927, leading the Rams until 1932.

September 6 – Monmouth University (Joe Moglia Stadium)
- Seventh meeting between Fordham and Monmouth on the gridÂiron.
- Hawks lead the all-time series, 4-2
- The two teams have split the past four meetings with the Hawks winning last year at Monmouth and the Rams taking the 2023 meeting, 52-49, at Monmouth in 2022 as Tim DeMorat completed 34 of 51 passes for 452 yards and tied a school record with six touchdown passes.
- Monmouth is a member of the CAA.
- Hawks were 6-6 overall last year, 4-4 in the CAA, with a win at FBS FIU.
- One of two CAA opponents for the Rams this year (Stony Brook).

September 13 – at Stony Brook University (LaValle Stadium – Stony Brook, N.Y.)
- Ninth meeting between Fordham and Stony Brook on the gridÂiron.
- The all-time series is tied, 4-4, but the Rams have taken three of the past four meetings.
- Seventh meeting on the NCAA FCS level as the first two meetings occurred on the NCAA Division III level.
- Stony Brook took last year game, 27-21, at Moglia Stadium while Fordham won the 2023 meeting, 26-7, at Stony Brook as Julius Loughridge rushed 24 times for 154 yards and two touchdowns and Jamell James added 44 yards on six carries with one score while the Rams forced three fourth quarter Stony Brook turnovers, two on strip sacks from Matt Jaworski, both which were converted into touchdowns.
- One of two CAA opponents for the Rams this year (Monmouth).
- Seawolves were 8-4 overall, 5-3 in the CAA, in 2024.

September 20 – at Colgate University* (Andy Kerr Stadium, Hamilton, N.Y.)
- 37th meeting between Fordham and Colgate on the gridiron.
- Colgate has taken three of the past five meetings, including a 20-14 win at Fordham last year.
- The Rams have won four of the past six meetings with Colgate at Moglia Stadium.
- Colgate will be led by first-year head coach Curt Fitzpatrick, who led Cortland to a 45-5 record the past four years.
- The Raiders were 2-10 overall, 1-5 in the Patriot League last year.

September 27 – Holy Cross* (Joe Moglia Stadium)
- 63rd meeting between Fordham and Holy Cross on the gridiron.
- Annual Ram-Crusader Cup contest.
- The Rams are 12-12 against Holy Cross as the home team (7-6 at Moglia Stadium), 9-16-1 at Holy Cross, 2-2-1 at the Polo Grounds and 1-1 at Yankee StadiÂum.
- Holy Cross has won three of the last five Patriot League titles.
- The Crusaders went 6-6 overall, 5-1 in the Patriot League, in 2024.

October 4 – at Lafayette College* (Fisher Stadium, Easton, Pa.)
- 43rd meeting between Fordham and Lafayette on the gridiron.
- The Rams have taken two of the last four meetings and six of the past 12.
- The Leopards won last year's matchup, 28-23, in Easton.
- Rams have won four of the past five meetings with the Leopards at Moglia Stadium.
- Chase Edmonds set the Patriot League record with 359 rushing yards against the Leopards in 2017.
- The Leopards were 6-6 overall, 2-4 in the Patriot League, in 2024.

- Homecoming Game.
- The Rams are 29-18-1 in Homecoming game at Moglia Stadium.
- Seventh meeting between Fordham and Dartmouth on the gridiron.
- The Big Green leads all-time series, 5-1.
- Last year's game with Dartmouth was the first since the 1997 season.
- The Rams have won ten of the last 13 meetings with Ivy League schools.
- Dartmouth went 8-2 overall, 5-2 in the Ivy League, in 2024.

October 25 – Lehigh University* (Joe Moglia Stadium – Family Weekend)
- 36th meeting between Fordham and Lehigh on the gridiron.
- The Rams have taken eight of the past eleven meetings, including five of the last six at Moglia Stadium.
- Lehigh took last year's meeting in Bethlehem.
- The Mountain Hawks were 9-4 overall, 5-1 in the Patriot League, last season, winning the Patriot League title.
- Lehigh defeated Richmond in the first round of the NCAA FCS playoffs last year before falling to #8 Idaho in the second round.

- Fourth meeting between Fordham and Richmond on the gridÂiron, the first since 2019.
- All-time series is tied, 1-1-1.
- Fordham took the last meeting between the two schools, 23-16, in the Bronx in 2019.
- Richmond is in its first year as a member of the Patriot League for football.
- Similar to Fordham, Richmond is a member of the Atlantic 10 for all sports besides football.
- The Spiders played in the CAA from 2007 until 2024.
- Richmond was 10-3 overall last fall, 8-0 in the CAA.
- The Spiders fell to Lehigh in the first round of the 2024 NCAA FCS playoffs.

- 41st meeting between Fordham and Bucknell on the gridiron.
- Fordham leads the all-time series, 21-19.
- Fordham had taken eleven straight meetings until Bucknell won last year in Lewisburg.
- The Rams have won six straight over the Bison in the Bronx.
- The first four meetings between the Rams and Bison were played at the Polo Grounds with Fordham winning three of the four.
- The Bison were 6-6 overall, 4-2 in the Patriot League, last fall.

November 15 – at Georgetown University* (Cooper Field, Washington, D.C.)
- 71st meeting between Fordham and Georgetown on the gridÂiron.
- The Rams lead the all-time series, which started in 1889, 43-26-3.
- Fordham has taken ten of the past 12 meetings, including a 31-3 win at Moglia Stadium last year.
- Fordham is 18-4 against Georgetown since the Hoyas joined the Patriot League in 2001.
- The Rams are 20-7-1 against Georgetown at Moglia Stadium which featured a pick-six lateral, the Pop-Tarts "Crazy Good" Play of the Week.
- The 66 varsity meetings with the Hoyas are the most against any opponent for the Rams.
- Georgetown was 5-6 in 2024, 3-4 in the Patriot League.

November 22 – at Merrimack University (Duane Stadium, North Andover, Mass.)
- Second meeting between Fordham and Merrimack on the gridiron.
- The Warriors took the first meeting last fall at Fordham.
- Merrimack is a member of the Northeast Conference for all other sports but an NCAA FCS Independent in football.
- Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski graduated from Merrimack in 1966, taking classes at the school while playing for the Boston Red Sox.
- Merrimack played NCAA Div. II football from 1997-2018 before moving up to the FCS level in 2019.
- The Warriors were 5-6 overall last year.
