Bronx, N.Y. – (March 11, 2025) - The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches has announced the men's All-Academic Awards for the 2024 season, honoring 18 Fordham student-athletes with at least a 3.2 GPA or higher. As a team, Fordham ranked in the top ten nationally in team GPA.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete's head coach must be a member of the ACWPC, while the student-athlete must attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. Divided into three designations based on cumulative grade point average (GPA), student-athletes can garner Outstanding (4.00-3.71), Superior (3.70-3.41) or Excellent (3.40-3.20) recognition.
In total, over 600 total student-athletes were recognized.

Balazs Berenyi,
Thomas Lercari,
Kristof Magony,
Gabriel Melillo,
James Oriskovich,
Jacopo Parrella and
Luca Provenziani earned "Outstanding" status, while two Rams,
Mark Katsev and
Lucas Nieto Jasny garnered "Superior" status. Seven others,
Brendan Cassidy,
Tyler Fahey,
West Gartland,
Marco Napolitano,
George Papanikolaou,
Reid Thorson, and
Andras Toth earned "Excellent" status.
Further, a total of 41 schools, including Fordham posted Team Honors for achieving team GPAs over 3.0. The Rams ranked ninth in the nation in team GPA at 3.50, trailing Caltech (3.82), MIT (3.74), Harvard (3.73), Brown (3.69), Johns Hopkins (3.69), Salem (3.62), Wagner (3.54), and Pomona-Pitzer (3.51).
