Raleigh, N.C. – (February 15, 2025) – N.C. State's Brayden Fraasman hit one of three home runs for the Wolfpack on Saturday afternoon to lead his squad to a 19-6 win over the Fordham Rams in seven innings at Doak Field at Dail Park.
The game was scoreless into the bottom of the third inning, where the Wolfpack struck for six runs, highlighted by a three-run home run by Fraasman.
N.C. State then plated a run in the fourth inning to go with six runs in the fifth and sixth innings for their 19-run total.
Fordham's scoring came in the sixth and seventh innings. In the sixth inning,
Anthony Grabau led off the inning with a pinch-hit solo home run to right center, the first of his career.
Then in the seventh,
Tim Ford led off with a walk and moved to second on a single by
Madden Ocko.
Matt Dieguez then followed with a three-run home run to left center, the first of his career. The first time moments continued for the Rams one out later, as
Caden Young connected on a pinch-hit solo home run to right for his first-ever round tripper.
The last run for the Rams started with a walk to Grabau and a double by
Taylor Kirk, moving Grabau to third. He then scored on a sacrifice fly by
Tommy Markey.
Mike Rabayda (0-1) took the loss on the mound, allowing four earned runs on six hits in 2.2 innings of work.
Fordham will next be in action on Friday, February 21
st, as the Rams take on Harvard at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
