PHILADELPHIA  – Hitting the road for the third time in the last four games, Fordham University women's basketball heads down I-95 for a meeting with La Salle Wednesday night.

Turn Up and Tune In

  • Fordham takes on the Explorers at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN+ in Philadelphia.

  • Hitting the road with the Rams, Madi Dembele and Tucker Austin will have the WFUV Radio call on YouTube Live.

Rams at a Glance

  • Fordham (12-11, 6-6 A-10) looks to snap a four-game losing streak, following a 6-2 start to league play, most recently dropping a 70-43 game to league leading George Mason on Saturday in The Bronx.

  • The current slide marks just the second time this season the Rams have lost consecutive games, tied for the longest winless stretch this season.

  • Wednesday marks the third road trip in the last four games for the Rams to open the month of February, traveling to Saint Louis to open the month, before a trip to D.C. to battle George Washington.

  • The Rams have limited four of their last six opponents to under 60 points, and have held 13 teams this season to 59 points or less.

  • Fordham currently holds the No. 9 seed in the A-10 entering the midweek, with six games left to play including Wednesday before the A-10's 15-teams descend on Henrico, Va. Mar. 5-9 for the 2025 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship.

By the Numbers

  • 56 - Fordham has only allowed more than 56 points scored twice in any of their 12 wins on the year, holding two teams below 50, limiting St. Bonaventure to 49 points, and holding LIU to a season-low 43 points on Dec. 8.

  • 60 - The Rams are 10-3 this season in games where they've scored at least 60 points.

  • 6 - Six different Rams enter the weekend averaging at least 3.1 rebounds per game.

  • 11 - The Rams went the first 11 games of the year without allowing 70 or more points to any opponent.

Where the Rams Rank

  • Fordham's 15.7 offensive rebounds per game are the 14th best in the nation, and lead the A-10 conference on the offensive glass.

  • Pulling down 39.35 total rebounds per game the Rams sit third in the A-10 and 67th in the nation overall.

  • Those totals see the Maroon and White place 65th in the country for rebounding margin at +4.7, fourth best in the league as well.

  • Defensively, Fordham sits 76th in the NCAA and third in the A-10 forcing 18.65 turnovers per game.

  • This season the Rams are limiting teams to just over 60 points per game, sitting 97th in the country in scoring defense and eighth best in the league.

  • The Maroon and White have also picked 9.1 steals per game, fifth most of any team in the league.

Leading the Herd

  • Pacing the offense and ranked fifth in the A-10 at 16.6 points per game, Donaldson enters the weekend third in the conference averaging 2.62 three pointers made per game, 30th best of any player in the nation, and third in the A-10, collecting 2.14 steals per game.

  • Irene Murua leads the team and sits seventh in the league in field goal percentage, shooting 55.3% from the field this season.

  • Murua also paced the Rams on the glass, pulling down 6.3 rebounds per game, placing her 12th best in the conference, while also averaging 3.4 per game on the offensive end.

  • Taya Davis leads the team with 4.3 assists per game, fourth best in the A-10 and 92nd best in the nation.

  • Chaé Harris has been consistent whether in the starting five or coming off the bench, making 15 starts while averaging 8.5 points per game, 2.5 rebounds per game, 1.4 assists per game, and 1.2 steals per game.

Matchup History

  • Winners of the last four meetings between the two sides, La Salle owns a 38-16 victory in the all-time series, including both meetings last season by double digits in each.

  • The last Fordham win came on Feb. 1, 2020, a 62-45 win for the Rams in The Bronx, in what was an eight game winning streak to that point for the Maroon and White.

  • Wednesday marks the first of two meetings between the two teams, who will meet again just 14 days from now on Feb. 26 at the Rose Hill Gym to close the home-and-home series in what will be the penultimate game of the regular season.

Exploring La Salle

  • Sitting at 8-18 on the year, La Salle is just 2-11 in league play entering the midweek, looking to snap a three-game skid and have lost 12 of their last 13 games dating back to Dec. 21.

Last Time Out

  • Standing tall on the defensive end in the first quarter, the league leading offense of George Mason was relentless the rest of the way Saturday afternoon, besting Fordham, 70-43.

  • Chaé Harris paced the Maroon and White with 11 points, ahead of nine from Taya Davis

  • Leading the team with 10 rebounds was Irene Murua, alongside six boards from both Rose Nelson and Anastasija Veljovic, with the latter of the two also adding seven points and a team best three steals.
