SAINT LOUIS, MO -- Despite strong by throughout the evening Friday night, the Fordham volleyball team lost to Saint Louis in three sets (14-25, 21-25, 21-25) Friday on the road.
The loss dropped Fordham's record to 7-13 overall and 1-9 in Atlantic 10 action.
Audrey Brown finished with eight kills on the day to lead the Rams attack, while on the opposite side of the ball, Fordham got 11 digs from Lola Fernandez along with a career high five blocks from Sophia Oliveira to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Rams found themselves in an early deficit, losing a tough first set 25-14. Fordham trailed by as many as 11 points as Saint Louis grabbed the advantage for good at 9-8 in a set that was tied up three times before the Billikens took control.
SET 2 | Fordham dropped the second set 25-21, digging a 2-0 deficit in the match. Despite multiple rallies throughout the frame, the Rams trailed by as many as six points as Saint Louis grabbed the advantage for good again at 9-8 in a set that was tied up two times before the Billikens took over the lead.
SET 3 | Fordham couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three, falling just shy of extending play, 25-21. Keeping close the entire way through, Fordham saw the home side grab the advantage for good at 15-14 and held off the Rams' rally down the stretch to seal the straight set win. The two sides will square off once again tomorrow afternoon, Saturday at 2:00 p.m. EDT.
