NEW YORK  – Venturing out on the road to open the final full-month of regular season action, Fordham University women's basketball heads to Saint Louis Saturday night.

Rams at a Glance

  • Fordham (12-8, 6-3 A-10) looks to continue its strong start to 2025, winning six of their first eight games since the ball dropped in Times Square.

  • The Rams are coming off a 53-35 loss to Rhode Island, snapping a two-game win streak after victories over Dayton and St. Bonaventure.

  • Saturday marks the first road game for the Rams in 17 days, last hitting the road for a trip to Saint Joseph's on Jan. 15. 

  • That will open a stretch that sees the Maroon and White play three of their next four games away from The Bronx.

  • Despite the setback Wednesday against Rhode Island, Fordham set a new season low, committing just 12 turnovers, while forcing Rhody into 21 on the night.

  • 56 - Fordham has only allowed more than 56 points scored twice in any of their 12 wins on the year, holding two teams below 50, limiting  St. Bonaventure last time out to 49 points, and held LIU to a season-low 43 points on Dec. 8.

  • Fordham has crashed the offensive glass all season long, ranked second in the A-10 and 38th in the nation averaging 14.2 offensive rebounds per game, and hold a +3.9 rebounding margin, fifth in the league and 92nd best in Division I.

  • Defensively, the Rams have wreaked havoc on their opponents, placing 59th in the country and third in the A-10 forcing 19.45 turnovers per game.

  • The Maroon and White have also collected 9.4 steals per game, fifth best in the league and 96th best in the nation.

Leading the Herd

  • Taylor Donaldson leads the Rams and sits amongst the top-100 players in the nation in a plethora of statistical categories, including points per game (90th), steals per game (71st), and three pointers made per game (25th)

  • Pacing the offense and ranked second in the A-10 at 16.8 points per game, Donaldson enters the weekend third in the conference in three pointers made per game at 2.33, and third in the A-10 in steals per game at 2.33.

  • Irene Murua leads the team and sits fifth in the league in field goal percentage, shooting 56.4% from the field this season.

  • Murua also tops the Rams rebounding numbers with 6.2 per contest, placing her 13th best in the conference, while also averaging 3.3 on the offensive end.

  • Taya Davis leads the team, sitting third in the A-10 and 89th in the nation at 4.3 assists per game.

  • Chaé Harris has been consistent whether in the starting five or coming off the bench, making 14 starts while averaging 8.6 points per game, 2.4 rebounds per game, 1.5 assists per game, and 1.2 steals per game.

Matchup History

  • Even at 11 wins apiece in the all-time series, Saturday marks the 23rd meeting between Fordham and Saint Louis.

  • A competitive matchup throughout, Fordham holds a 6-4 record in the last 10 meetings, including a win in the most recent battle on Feb. 21, 2024, a 79-64 victory at the Rose Hill Gym.

Scouting Saint Louis

  • Backed by a trio of double-digit scorers, Peyton Kennedy leads the Billikens with 13.2 points per game, ahead of Brooklyn Gray at 12.0 per game, and Kennedy Calhoun with 10.9 per game.

  • The Billikens are fourth in the nation in team free throw percentage, shooting 80.5% from the charity stripe, and sit 45th in the country averaging 13.86 free throw attempts per game.

  • Saint Louis is also third in the A-10 and 69th nationally in steals per game, and fifth in the league and 61st in the NCAA in offensive rebounds per game, pulling down 13.5 per game.

Battle of the Rams

  • The visitors pulled out to an early lead and never looked back on Wednesday night, as the Rams fell to Rhode Island 53-35 at the Rose Hill Gym last time out.

  • After allowing 21 points in the opening frame, Fordham limited the Kingston Rams to just 32 points the rest of the way, including just eight in the final ten minutes of action. 

  • Chae Harris led the way for the second time this season, finishing with 12 points, four rebounds and a pair of steals, followed by eight points from Taylor Donaldson and six from both Irene Murua and Taya Davis.

  • The Rams head to Washington D.C. Tuesday afternoon for a meeting with George Washington at 7:00 p.m.
