Bronx, N.Y. – A trio of football Rams were recently named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® team with Fordham grad student linebacker
Mike Courtney, junior defensive back
Alex Kemper, and senior punter
Will Haslett each being placed on the team.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Football teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Mike Courtney (Gr., LB, Mahopac, N.Y./Don Bosco)
• 2024 Second Team All-Patriot League
• 2024 Academic All-Patriot League
• Named Second Team Phil Steele All-Patriot League
• Started all 12 games at linebacker in 2024
• Recorded a team-high 95 total tackles, 50 solo
• Included in the 95 tackles were 8.5 for loss and one sack
• Second on team in tackles for loss
• Also had five pass breakups and two quarterback hurries
• Fourth in the Patriot League in tackles/game (7.9)
Alex Kemper (Jr., DB, 5-11, 178, Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier)
• Named Third Team Phil Steele All-Patriot League
• Started all 12 games at cornerback in 2024
• Recorded 43 total tackles, 31 solo, including two for loss and one sack
• Also had eleven pass breakups, second on the team, including one interception
• Fourth in the Patriot League in passes defended (0.92/game)
• Returned a lateraled interception for a touchdown against Georgetown
• Recovered one fumble
Will Haslett (Sr., P, Johnston, Pa./Bishop McCourt)
• 2024 First Team All-Patriot League
• Named Second Team Phil Steele All-Patriot League
• Started all 34 games at punter since arriving at Fordham in 2022
• Punted 67 times for 2,816 yards (42.0 yards/punt)
• Landed 19 punts inside the opponent's 20
• Had 12 punts for over 50 yards, including a season-long kick of 64 yards
• Second in the Patriot League and 37
th in the NCAA In punting average
• 2023 Second Team All-Patriot League
