Homans Added to Swimming & Diving Coaching Staff

Former USC Standout Harry Homans Joins Rams as Assistant Coach

Bronx, N.Y. – (September 3, 2024) – Fordham swimming & diving head coach Tom Wilkens announced the hiring of former USC swimmer Harry Homans as assistant coach today.

"I am absolutely thrilled that Harry is joining our staff and I can't wait to work with him," said Wilkens. "I am impressed by his unique combination of experience, energy, and enthusiasm ... and I believe he will have a significant and positive impact on our program."

A native of Barrington, Rhode Island, Homans just completed his stay at Southern Cal, where he was a multiple-time PAC-12 Championship finalist and a two-time Olympic Trials competitor in 2021 and 2024.

Prior to his time at USC, Homans spent one season at the University of Georgia, where he was an NCAA All-American in the 200 butterfly and 800 freestyle relay and was an SEC Championship bronze medalist in both events.  He was also selected Second Team All-SEC and to the SEC All-Freshman Team.

Homans has club coaching experience, assisting the Senior group at The Spartans of La Cañada from March through August of 2023, which is the fastest growing swim club in the Southern California Swimming LSC.  He also supported the Junior groups at Bluefish Swim Club from September 2018 through June of 2019, which is the top swim club in the New England Swimming LSC.

Homans earned his Bachelor's of Arts degree in Law, History, and Culture from the University of Southern California in 2024.

"I am super excited to begin my coaching career as a part of the Fordham Swimming & Diving program," said Homans. "I want to thank Tom Wilkens for giving me the chance to showcase my skills and knowledge for the sport of swimming, while being able to mentor and support the next generation of Division I athletes. I cannot wait to become a member of the Ramily and I am ready to positively contribute to the next chapter of the Fordham Swimming & Diving program."
