Paris, France – (July 30, 2024) – Today was race day for Fordham swimmer
Alexander Shah at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France, as he represented Nepal for the second time.
Shah finished third in his heat of the 100-meter freestyle on Tuesday clocking in with a personal-best time of 51.91 seconds. The time ranked 59
th overall out of 79 competitors. His previous best time in the 100-meter freestyle was 52.17 seconds at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar.
More importantly, Shah's time set a new national record for Nepal.
Previously, Shah took part in the Tokyo Summer Olympics for Nepal in 2021, competing in the 100-meter freestyle and ranking 59
th.
