Donaldson Named to All-MET Second Team Tuesday

The Fordham Senior will be recognized Thursday at the 91st Annual MBWA Haggerty Awards Dinner

NEW YORK – One of the most impactful players in the nation all season long, Fordham University women's basketball senior Taylor Donaldson was selected to the All-MET Second team Tuesday Morning by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA).

In her first season on Rose Hill, Donaldson excelled on both ends of the floor last season, leading the Atlantic 10 Conference in points per game and ranking 56th amongst all Division I players. Last season would see the Fordham senior pace the Rams' offense averaging 17.9 points per game, ending the year with 483 points scored. 

The Newbury Park, Calif. native excelled particularly from beyond the arc, ranking 12th in the nation in three pointers made per game, sinking an average of 2.65 treys each time on the floor. Donaldson would also finish second in the league and 57th in the country with 2.3 steals per game, gathering a team-high 62 steals last season.

Donaldson will be recognized with other top basketball stars from the New York Area at the 91st MBWA Haggerty Awards dinner on Thursday, Apr. 18, at the Sleepy Hollow Hotel & Conference Center in Tarrytown, N.Y. The longest running, media-managed college basketball awards program in the United States, The Haggerty dinner recognizes multiple levels of collegiate basketball, including more than 300 female student-athletes representing 21 Division I colleges and universities.
