BRONX, N.Y. – After splitting the first two games of the series with Dayton Saturday afternoon, Fordham University Softball fell 6-0 to the Flyers Sunday.
The Rams would scatter six hits from six different players throughout the rubber game Sunday, and would put the ball in play on several occasions, forcing a number of impressive plays on defense by their opponents.
The visitors would tally runs in the second and third innings, before a series of brief delays extended the fourth inning due to rain. Dayton would tack on one more run in the fourth and sixth to take a 5-0 win in game three and win the series two games to one.
The Rams are back in action Wednesday for their lone A-10 midweek date of 2024, hosting Saint Joseph's at Bahoshy Field for a doubleheader at 2:00 p.m.
