BRONX, N.Y. (Dec. 3, 2024) – Fresh off a convincing win over New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon, the Fordham men's basketball team will continue its three-game homestand on Wednesday night when it welcomes FDU to the Rose Hill Gym.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on SNY and ESPN+.  Andrew Bogusch and Andrew Posadas will handle television broadcasting duties.  90.7 FM WFUV will also carry the contest with Nick Guzman and Lou Orlando on the call.

Wednesday will serve as the men's basketball program's annual Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night.  All Fordham faculty and staff can claim up to four free general admission tickets by clicking here and using the promo code FACULTY24.

The FDU game will also mark the launch of the Rams' new partnership with DoorDash benefitting Part of the Solution, a local organization providing an array of services at no cost to the client.  All fans who bring a non-perishable food item for donation will be entered to win one of three DoorDash gift cards totaling $350, $250 and $200.

Fordham (4-5) will host FDU (3-6) on the heels of a 22-point victory over the Wildcats on Sunday afternoon in the Bronx.  Jackie Johnson III led the way offensively for the Rams, scoring 16 points thanks to a 4-for-9 effort from beyond the arc.  Johnson, whose 18.0 points per game this season lead the team and rank fifth in the Atlantic 10, has led the Rams in scoring in seven of their eight games against Division I opponents this season.  In the lone Division I game that he did not lead the team in scoring, Johnson still chipped in 21 points against Manhattan on Nov. 15.

Since making his season debut against Georgian Court on Nov. 19, sophomore Jahmere Tripp has been one of the Rams' most impactful contributors.  He has scored nine or more points in each of his five appearances with four outings in double figures, including a season-high 13 points against Penn State on Nov. 25.  The Brooklyn native has been efficient from beyond the arc, connecting on seven of his 12 three-point tries (58.3%).  The 6-foot-6 guard has also impressed defensively, averaging 2.6 steals per game with a pair of four-theft outings.

Tripp, who also had five assists and only one turnover on Sunday, narrowly missed becoming the fifth Fordham player to reach double figures against UNH.  Japhet Medor added 12 points and six boards while Abdou Tsimbila and Joshua Rivera chipped in 10 points apiece.  Tsimbila, who matched a season high for scoring, made all five of his field goal attempts.

FDU comes to the Bronx with a record of 3-6.  Two of those wins have been non-Division I opponents, Vermont State Randolph and SUNY Purchase.  The Knights' lone win against a Division I foe came against Manhattan, 85-82, on Nov. 17.

The Knights have lost each of their last two games by narrow margins, falling to Saint Peter's, 78-76, last Tuesday before coming out of the wrong end of a 78-74 decision at Fairfield on Sunday.

Sophomore guard Terrence Brown is enjoying a breakout season for FDU, leading the team in scoring with 21.9 points per game.  Brown has eclipsed the 20-point mark six times in nine opportunities, including a season-high 28 points in the win over Manhattan. Last season as a freshman, the Minneapolis native averaged 7.8 points over 32 appearances, 17 of which were starts.

Fordham and FDU will meet on the hardwood for the fifth time on Wednesday night.  The Rams have won all four of those previous meetings, including an 80-52 victory last season at the Rose Hill Gym.  Rivera led the way with 13 points and seven rebounds for the Rams.
