Khalid Moore Inks Pro Deal in Greece

New York native to begin his professional career with Lavrio BC

BRONX, N.Y. – After helping lead the Rams to unprecedented heights in his lone season with the program, Khalid Moore has signed a contract to begin his professional career with Lavrio BC of the Greek Basket League.

A career 1,000-point scorer, Moore earned Third Team All-Atlantic 10 honors this past spring after anchoring the Rams to their best season in more than three decades.  Fordham posted 25 victories, the second-highest win total in program history, and advanced to the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 Tournament for just the second time.  The Rams tied for second in the final A-10 regular season standings after setting program high-water marks for league wins (12) and winning percentage (.667).

Moore started all 33 games, the only Fordham player to do so, averaging 15.7 points and a team-high 6.7 boards per contest.  He shot 48.6 percent from the floor and 35.1 percent from deep while sinking 77.1 percent of his free throws.  On the season, Moore recorded 20 or more points 11 times and posted five double-doubles.

A native of Elmont, N.Y., Moore returned home following four seasons at Georgia Tech, where he helped lead the Yellowjackets to an ACC title in 2021.  Moore's production increased substantially during his time at Rose Hill, as he scored more points in 33 games with the Rams (519) as he did 117 games at Georgia Tech (510).

Moore is coming off a stint with the New York Knicks in the NBA Summer League in which he made four appearances, averaging more than 13 minutes per game.

Moore becomes the second member of the 2022-23 Rams to sign on with a top-tier professional team in Europe, as Darius Quisenberry joined on with Landstede Hammers in the Netherlands last month.

Season tickets deposits for the 2023-24 men's basketball season are now being accepted.
