Bronx, N.Y. – (June 2, 2023) – The Fordham men's soccer team has released its schedule for the 2023 fall season which features 17 regular season contests along with three exhibition contests.
Under head coach
Carlo Acquista, the schedule is broken down into nine non-conference matches and eight conference matches.
The regular season begins on Thursday, August 24
th, as the Rams host Sacred Heart in the back end of a soccer doubleheader at Jack Coffey Field. Fordham will also welcome non-league opponents Penn (Sept. 1), Loyola (Md.) (Sept. 11), and Hofstra (Oct. 10) to the Bronx.
Fordham's road schedule features a Labor Day showdown at Georgetown on September 4
th. Additionally, the Rams will travel to Saint Francis (Aug. 27), UMBC (Sept. 8), Manhattan (Sept. 19), and Princeton (Oct. 24).
Action in the Atlantic 10 Conference will begin on September 16
th, when the Rams host St. Bonaventure for a matinee at Jack Coffey Field. Fordham will also welcome Davidson (Sept. 30), Saint Joseph's (Oct. 4), and Duquesne (Oct. 21) to Rose Hill.
For road conference matches, Fordham visits Saint Louis (Sept. 23), Rhode Island (Oct. 7), Massachusetts (Oct. 14), and Loyola Chicago (Oct. 28).
On top of the regular season schedule, Fordham will have three preseason exhibitions against Stony Brook (home) on August 11
th, Monroe (home) on August 15
th, and Seton Hall (away) on August 18
th.
The 2023 schedule will lead to the Atlantic 10 Championship with opening round contests, starting on November 4
th with the championship final on November 11
th.
