Fordham (0-4) answered with a four-run fifth inning to take their first lead of the season.  The inning kicked off with a bang as Will Findlay led off with a solo home run down the left field line, his first of the season.   One out later, Nico Boza reached on a single through the left side and moved to third on an error.  Daniel Bucciero then knotted the game at two with an RBI-double to score Boza and moved Ryan Thiesse, who reached on the error to get to third.  The Rams wrapped their scoring with a sacrifice fly by Peter DeMaria and an RBI-single by Cian Shaler for a 4-2 lead.

The Rams lead did not last long, as the Monarchs scored seven times in the bottom of the fifth inning to take a 9-4 advantage.  The rally was highlighted by a two-run triple by Waters.
