Elon, N.C. – Fordham softball finished the Phoenix Invitational strong, defeating Saint Francis, 3-0, behind
Holly Beeman's first career shutout. The Rams will enter their third weekend with a 2-7 overall record.

Bailey Enoch and
Sydney Wells each singled with one out and an error allowed
Kate McGuire to load the bases. The runs came on a
Mary Grace O'Neill fielder's choice, a
Michaela Carter walk, and a
Sarah Taffet groundout. Carter's was one of two walks on the day, while
Julia Martine also singled and stole a base.
For the weekend, O'Neill led the offense with five hits in nine at-bats (.556) with two RBIs and a stolen base. Martine produced four hits and Carter walked four times. Beeman led the pitching staff with three appearances and 11.2 innings, striking out five and pitching to a 0.60 ERA.
