BRONX, N.Y. – The Fordham University Rams continue the 2023-2024 season, Fordham's 121st varsity season, by facing the St. John's University Red Storm as part of the 2023 Holiday Festival at the Madison Square Garden on Saturday, December 16, at 3:30 p.m.
Join the Ramses Challenge, a philanthropic initiative supporting our student-athletes. Pledge a set amount for each rebound, offensive rebound, steal, or assist. All proceeds are tax-deductible and go directly to the men's basketball program. There is also an option to make a one-time gift to men's basketball.
The game will be broadcast live on FS1 with John Fanta (PxP) and Tarik Turner (analyst) announcing as well as broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM) and the
WFUV Sports YouTube page with Miles Grossman (PxP) and Kris Pursiainen (analyst) behind the mics.
Fordham enters the game with a 5-5 record and is coming off a 60-59 win over North Texas in the NABC Brooklyn Showcase at the Barclays Center on Sunday afternoon while St. John's is 6-3 on the season after an 86-80 loss to Boston College in the NABC Brooklyn Showcase at the Barclays Center on Sunday afternoon.
Saturday afternoon's contest will be the 90th meeting between Fordham and St. John's on the hardwood. The Red Storm lead the all-time series, 67-22, and took the most recent meeting, 83-69, in Carnesecca Arena on December 5, 2021.

• Senior guard
Japhet Medor leads Fordham in scoring (11.2 ppg) and is second in assists (3.3/game) while sophomore forward
Joshua Rivera is second in scoring (10.8) and rebounding (4.9).
• Senior guard
Kyle Rose has 167 career steals, tenth all-time at Fordham.
• Rose has appeared in 118 career games, tied for ninth all-time for the Rams.
• Senior guard
Antrell Charlton and Rose both have 18 steals this year (1.9/game), fourth most in the A-10 this season.
• Senior forward
Abdou Tsimbila has 24 blocks in eight games (2.7/game), second in the Atlantic 10 and 13th in the NCAA.
• Tsimbila has 118 career blocks, eighth all-time at Fordham.
• Tsimbila also leads the Rams in rebounding, averaging 8.4/game, second in the Atlantic 10.
• After averaging 2.7 ppg and 2.0 rpg last year, sophomore forward
Elijah Gray is averaging 8.9 ppg and 4.3 rpg this year.
• The Fordham-St. John's contest marks the first Fordham appearance at Madison Square Garden since 2016 and the 152nd overall.
• It will be Fordham's 15th appearance at the Holiday Festival.
• The 89 games played against St. John's are the second most for the Rams against any opponent (Fordham and Manhattan have met 115 times).
• The Rams did not lose any student-athletes to the transfer portal from 2022-23.
• The Rams continue the 2023-24 season by facing the Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Thursday, December 21 at 12:00 p.m.
