Senior quarterback threw six touchdown passes, became Fordham career leader

Bronx, N.Y. – For the second straight week, Fordham senior quarterback Tim DeMorat was named the GEICO Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week when the League office announced honors on Monday. Additionally, he was named the NCAA FCS National Player of the Week.
 
In a 52-49 win at Monmouth on Saturday, DeMorat, the Patriot League preseason offensive player of the year, accounted for six of the seven Fordham touchdowns. He completed 34 of 51 passes for a career-high 452 yards and six touchdowns. He tied his own school record with the six touchdown passes and became the school's all-time leader in passing touchdowns with 78. He broke the former mark of 73 set by Kevin Anderson (2014-2017).
 
On the year, DeMorat has completed 52 of 76 passes for 838 yards and eleven touchdowns. He leads the NCAA FCS in passing touchdowns and passing yards/game.
 
Besides setting the school career passing touchdown mark, DeMorat, who earned weekly honors for the seventh time over the past two years, ranks second in career completions (758), and career passing yards (9,401), and sixth in completion percentage (.601) at Fordham.
 
The Rams return to action on Saturday, September 17, as they host the University at Albany Great Danes on Jack Coffey Field at 1:00 p.m. as part of Homecoming 2022.
