Boca Raton, Fla. – (March 6, 2022) – FAU's Nolan Schanuel & Dylan Goldstein each drove in four runs on Sunday, as the Owls completed a series sweep of the Fordham Rams with a 10-3 win at FAU Baseball Stadium in Boca Raton, Florida.
After FAU took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, Fordham quickly cut the deficit to 2-1, when
Nico Boza connected on a solo home run to right, the first of his career.
The Owls though got the run back in the bottom of the frame and extended the lead to 9-1 by the sixth inning. Their scoring was highlighted by a two-run single by Nolan Schanuel in the fifth inning and a
two-run triple by Dylan Goldstein in the sixth.
Fordham netted single runs in the seventh and ninth innings for a 10-3 final, as
Will Findlay registered an RBI-single in the seventh and a solo home run in the ninth, the first of his career.
At the plate, Findlay was 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBI, while Boza and
Zach Selinger each had two hits and a run scored.
The Rams now return home to play nine of the next ten games, beginning with Wednesday against Stony Brook at 3:00 PM.
