Pittsburgh, Pa. - The Fordham University Rams continue the 2021-2022 Atlantic 10 season, Fordham's 119th varsity season, by traveling to Pittsburgh, Pa., to face the Duquesne University Dukes in the UMPC Cooper Fieldhouse on Saturday, February 12, at 5:30 p.m.
The game will be broadcast on the CBS Sports Network with Tom McCarthy (PxP) and Pete Gillen (analyst) announcing and broadcast live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and wfuvsports.org with Ryan Gregware (PxP) and Mike Calamari (analyst) behind the mics.
Fordham enters the game with a 10-12 overall record, 3-7 in the Atlantic 10, after a conference loss at St. Bonaventure on Tuesday night, while Duquesne enters the game with a 6-15 overall record, 1-8 in the conference, after an Atlantic 10 loss at Dayton on Wednesday night.
Saturday afternoon's contest will be the 46th meeting between Fordham and Duquesne on the hardwood. The Dukes lead the all-time series, which started in the 1949-50 season, 28-17, but the Rams took this year's first meeting, 72-71 on January 12 in the Rose Hill Gym behind 16 points from
Darius Quisenberry and 14 points and 16 rebounds from
Chuba Ohams.
Notes
• After missing most of the 2020-2021 season, graduate student forward
Chuba Ohams has wasted little time displaying that he was back, recording a double-double in 12 of his 20 games.
• Ohams leads the Atlantic 10 and is sixth in the NCAA in rebounding (11.1 rpg).
• Ohams has 620 career rebounds, good for 19th on the Rams' career lists (he is six behind Joe Paterno (1985-1989) for 18th place).
• Ohams also has 100 career blocks, good for tenth on the school's all-time list (he is four behind Sherwin Content (1990-1994) for ninth place).
• Graduate student guard
Darius Quisenberry is third in the A-10 in scoring, averaging 17.3 ppg.
• Quisenberry has scored in double figures in 20 of the 22 games this year.
• The Fordham win earlier this year snapped a six-game Duquesne winning streak against Fordham.
• It will be the third of three straight road games for the Rams, the first time since 2002 that the Rams played three straight conference road games.
