Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham volleyball fell in straight sets to Saint Louis, 18-25, 16-25, 24-26, on Saturday afternoon to fall to 11-16 overall and 5-11 in Atlantic 10 play with two matches to go.
The Rams battled hard in the third set to try and extend the match but ultimately fell to the visiting Billikens, who hit .305 as a group compared to Fordham's mark of .095. Fordham posted 21 errors in the match, including 10 in the second frame, with five service errors.
Whitley Moody notched nine kills to pace the attack, followed by
Audrey Brown's eight.
Zoe Talabong and
Aria De La Rosa each posted six. Moody added seven digs, two blocks, and two aces, the latter tally matched by
Aneliesa Cartledge.
Megan Brzozowski produced 23 assists and 10 digs, while
Mallory Lipski led the back line with 18 digs. De La Rosa led at the net with three blocks, while
Chloe Pejouan and
Zoe Talabong each had one solo block.
Audrey Hayes and
Lauren Arzuaga saw time in the third, each notching a kill, while
Mackenzie Colvin came in for three assists and a pair of digs.
Fordham wraps up the regular season with two matches against George Mason next weekend at 6 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday. The team's Senior Day ceremony will take place prior to the season finale.
