Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham women's basketball set a record for points in a half en route to a 95-48 victory over Wagner on Sunday afternoon, tied for the eighth-most points in program history and the fifth-highest margin of victory. With the win, the Rams improve to 3-2 on the year, while the Seahawks fall to 2-3.
Wagner scored the game's first points on an Alex Cowan fastbreak layup following a Lina Loceniece steal, but

The team's 59 points set a new record for most points in any half ever in program history, by seven. Previously it had been 52 in the second half against Davidson in 2017. Fordham kept its foot on the gas with 25 more points in the third on 55.6% shooting, knocking down four more treys, before slowing down with 11 points in the fourth.
The offense shot 55.9% from the field on the day, hitting 38-of-68 from the field, the number of field goals tied for second all-time in program history, the attempts outside the top-10. The Rams also converted 14-of-32 from behind the arc, tied for the third-most makes, a rate of 43.8%, with the attempts also sitting outside the top-10. On top of that, the offense assisted on 28 of the 38 baskets, the second-most dimes in a single game and most in a regular season contest by four.
Asiah Dingle led the attack with 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting, adding five rebounds, five assists, and a team-high four steals.
Kaitlyn Downey posted her fourth double-double of the year in five tries with 17 points and 13 boards plus five dimes and a pair of blocks. Both played 24 minutes, tops in the squad on the day.

Off the bench,
Jada Dapaa posted 10 points and six rebounds, three offensive, and
Colleen McQuillen hit all three of her first-half three-point attempts to match her career-high of nine points. Posting a new personal-best was
Sophia Sabino with six points, both field goals coming from distance, to go with a pair of steals, as
Matilda Flood matched her best of four assists to go with three rebounds, a steal, and a block.
