Newport News, Va. – Fordham volleyball's
Audrey Brown has been named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for a third time this season, the league announced on Monday afternoon. Brown posted back-to-back 19-kill efforts over a weekend split at Duquesne.
Brown continues to be instrumental to the Rams' attack, leading the squad in both matches this weekend in kills while hitting a combined .384 across 73 attacks. The freshman outside hit .317 over four sets on Friday, adding two digs and a block, then hit .469 over three sets in a win on Saturday, adding two blocks and a dig. That was her seventh contest hitting .400 or better and if you include .300 or better, that number grows to 12.
The Birmingham, Mich. native finds ninth in the league in kills per set (2.84) and is a fraction of a point outside the hitting percentage top-10 (.279). No player in the league is in both.
Fordham returns home for its final five matches of the regular season, starting with Rhode Island on Wednesday night at 5 p.m.
