Lewisburg, Pa. – (September 19, 2021) – The Fordham water polo team kept on rolling on day two of the Bison Invitational on Sunday, improving to 4-0 on the weekend with wins over Wagner and Mount St. Mary's.
In the opening match of the day,
Hans Zdolsek and
Jacopo Parrella each scored four times to lead the offense as the Rams knocked off Wagner, 15-11.
After an even first quarter at three all, the Rams took charge with the final two goals of the second quarter by
Christos Loupakis and
Hans Zdolsek to take a 7-5 lead into halftime.
After Wagner cut the Fordham lead to 9-8 with three minutes left in the third quarter, the Rams got rolling, netting five of the next six goals to take control of the match, which they eventually won, 15-11.

For Fordham,
Jacopo Parrella netted four goals to go with three assists, while Zdolsek had four tallies to go with an assist.
Lucas Nieto Jasny also added three goals and two assists for the Rams with Loupakis having two goals.
Curtis Vidinoff and
George Papanikolaou had the final two goals with
Michael Rahner adding a pair of assists. In net,
Bailey O'Mara had eight saves to go with an assist and a steal.
The final match of the Bison Invitational saw the Rams top Mt. St. Mary's, 21-8, in the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
Fordham got out of the gate quickly, scoring seven goals in the first and second quarter, as the Rams built a 14-4 lead by halftime and never looked back.
For the Rams, who are now 8-3 on the year, Jasny was stellar, scoring five goals on five shots, while
Nacho Ariste had four goals and three assists.
Gabriel Melillo added three goals and three steals with Parrella having two goals and two assists.
Skyler Knoflick and Loupakis each had two goals and two steals, while Papanikolaou, Rahner, and
Daniel Lynch had the final three goals.
In net, all three goalkeepers saw action with O'Mara playing the first quarter with four saves and two assists, while
Thomas Lercari had six saves and a steal over two and a half quarter.
Aldo Ordoñez had one save in the remaining time.
The Rams are back in action on Sunday, September 26
th, as they have their home opener at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center against Navy, starting at 11:00 AM.
