South Orange, N.J. – (April 1, 2021) – Seton Hall's Tyler Shedler-McAvoy and Alex Clyde each drove in three runs, while Ryan McLinsky struck out six batters over five innings of work, as the Pirates won game two of a three-game series with the Fordham Rams, 11-4, at Mike Sheppard Sr. Field in South Orange, N.J.
With the loss, Fordham falls to 11-6 on the year, while Seton Hall improved to 7-11.

The Pirates answered with single runs in the third, fifth, and sixth innings to lead, 5-1, before the Rams rallied back within one in the seventh. With one out,
Nico Boza singled to center and stole second. He then came in to score on a two-out single by
Jake Guercio.
Alvin Melendez followed with a two-run home run to left, his second home run in as many days, to pull the Rams' deficit to 5-4.
Seton Hall once again had the answer, scoring six times in the bottom of the seventh to blow the game open. The rally was highlighted by a bases clearing triple by Alex Clyde and a two-run double by Tyler Shedler-McAvoy, giving the Pirates an 11-4 win.
Garrett Crowley (2-1) took the loss for Fordham, pitching an inning-plus, allowing two runs. At the plate, Guercio was 2-for-2 with two walks, a run scored, and an RBI, with Melendez having the two-run home run. In all, the Rams managed six hits in the game.
The series finale between these teams will take place on Saturday, starting at 4:00 PM.
