Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham volleyball team closed out its weekend with a three-set loss to Davidson on Sunday afternoon, 17-25, 22-25, 22-25. With the loss, the Rams fall to 7-18 overall and 4-10 in league play, while the Wildcats improve to 12-12 and 8-6, respectively.

The Wildcats hit .281 to Fordham's clip of .133 with just 14 attack errors to the host's 22. The Rams had one more ace, 5-4, but one fewer block, 10-9.

Whitley Moody led the offense with 12 kills, hitting .200, with
Izzy Fichtel (8),
Bella Ureña (7), and
Aria De La Rosa (6) just behind, the latter posting a team-high .357 hit rate.
Mallory Lipski posted 15 digs, plus two aces, while
Megan Brzozowski tallied 14 to go with 28 assists, two kills, one block, and one ace. Fichtel led the defense with five blocks with five others producing at least two.

The 2021 regular season concludes next weekend with a home-and-home against Rhode Island. Rhody visits the Bronx on Friday at 5 p.m. for the team's Senior Night, then travels to Kingston on Sunday at 3 p.m.
